Ms. Dinkel concentrates in representing employers in labor and employment law matters ranging from day-to-day employee relations through trial. Ms. Dinkel successfully defends employers in discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour claims, non-compete and trade secret cases, breach of contract, and unemployment matters. She has experience in representing employers in State and Federal court and before various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Department of Labor, and the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

  • Obtained an order compelling arbitration in Northern District of Illinois enforcing employer’s arbitration agreement with employee resulting in the dismissal of class allegations brought pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act and state law.

  • Secured a verdict in favor of employer in the Northern District of Illinois defending allegations of discrimination involving three plaintiffs.

  • Won numerous motions for Summary Judgment on behalf of employers in Federal and State Courts involving claims including but not limited to Title VII discrimination claims and issues of preemption.

  • Prevailed in numerous non-compete cases in various industries securing injunctions for employers in Federal Court.

  • Secured permanent injunction in case involving trade secret claims in Federal Court.

  • Won appeal before the Illinois Appellate Court, Second District reversing jury verdict and entering summary judgment for employer regarding union employee’s claim for bonus.
